Based on all of the customer reviews more recently posted, the Nikon D700 digital camera is actually meeting the majority’s expectations, especially those that are experienced in using Nikon’s design. One of the main points bring brought up within the customer reviews is just how amazing the 51 point AutomaticFocusing sensor is. One customer stated that this sensor was a dramatic improvement compared to the previous auto focusing generation, allowing him to focus in on far more nature shots, generating an extremely level of clarity per image. Another customer, however, mentioned a potentially negative point regarding the Nikon D700, saying that its competitor, a Canon model, is now offering more features within the video department than that of the Nikon D700. This customer explained how the Canon model has already updated their Nikon D700 competitor with Video MP. One of the more minor negative points about the Nikon D700 is the fact that it has a “tendency to overexpose” your shots, a direct affect generated by the 51 point auto focusing software.
The verdict:
Excellent purchase! The majority of the customers have all been praising the Nikon D700 for its wide range of applications and special features. The main feature that is receiving a significant amount of praise is the 51 point AutomaticFocusing system, however, that is the very same system that has been known to yield the negative effect of overexposing certain shots during its capture.

The customers have been stated their praises for the new Nikon D60 10.2 megapixel sensory system, saying that it gets the job done. The main praise, however, has everything to do with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G Vibration Reduction lens and the levels of high quality images it produces. One customer stated that the clarity of the images captured by the DX NIKKOR lens is actually the main reason she decided to purchase the Nikon D60. There is a negative comment that has been mentioned universally among the Nikon D60 customers, focusing on the camera’s inability to cater to new / inexperienced users. One customer suggested that an earlier Nikon model would actually be better suited for the inexperienced photographer, saying that the applications / features included within the Nikon D60 package is actually extremely hard to access, that is, if you do not have any prior understanding on how Nikon designs their digital cameras.
The verdict:
An excellent purchase! Customers are recommending this product over and over again, though the majority of the customers have stated that they have owned previous Nikon models. Within these reviews, the customers have also stated that the more inexperienced user may find it rather difficult to use the Nikon D60, saying that its applications are better suited for those with a photography background.

Based solely on the most recently customer reviews posted, the Nikon D5000 has actually appeased many of the public’s initial expectations of this new Nikon model. The only negative point the customers are bringing up is the past Nikon D5000 recall. Nikon put out a massive recall as a result of the D – Movie function not working properly, rendering it useless to many of the customers. This negativity has yet to subside, according to one customer, as there has been a “rumor” of another recall in the near future for the same problem. The main positive note the customers are releasing has to deal with the 19 point and shoot application built into its zooming system, though, the next big praise emanating from the customers centers around its GPS geo tracking system, saying that it is extremely hard to misplace the unit.
The verdict:
Excellent for Image capturing! The customers have become quite adamant about the Nikon recalls over the Nikon D5000 video capturing feature. That said, the customers seem to be more than willing to shoot off praises with nearly every other feature this camera has to offer, as the reviews consistently market the Nikon D5000 as a highly recommended product.

Based solely on the customer reviews more recently posted, the Nikon D5000 with zoom lens provides a rather impressive range of applications and enhanced editorial software. The main praise the customers seem to bring into focus is this camera’s interface and how it can be fully accessed by either an experienced photographer or an inexperienced photographer. Another praise report came out once a customer compared the Nikon D5000 with zoom lens with the D40, saying that the unit’s price and feature greatly outweigh that of the previous Nikon release. However, a few customers have also mentioned one negative point, and it had to do with the zooming feature. Though the zooming works perfectly, one customer mentioned that the lack of autofocus software causes each zooming attempt to yield less quality than what Nikon has become widely accepted for producing. Otherwise, this customer stated that the Nikon D5000 with zoom lens is an excellent purchase.
The verdict:
Great for beginnings. The Nikon D5000 with zoom lens does offer a wide range of features, but it was its user friendly interface that sparked true interest among the customers. That said, the lack of autofocus is an issue that only professional photographers will have any qualms with, as many of the customer reviews being released by beginning photographers never state any issues concerning this minor defect.

Based solely on what the customers have recently posted about the new Nikon D40 digital camera, the main point of praise has been the 6.1 megapixel CCD sensory system. Many of the customers have praised its 3 step automatic adjustment settings, allowing the image you wish to capture to come into full view, while processing the image through editorial software once captured. The only issue customers have been bringing forth deals with the included lens. One customer stated that the 3x 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor lens, on a few of the units, comes slightly misaligned, making it extremely difficult to zoom in and out with perfect clarity. According to the customers, this defect was not a universal complaint, as another customer stated that the lens’s capability of reaching maximum zoom was one of the main points that provided a base for recommendation.
The verdict:
A must have! All of the customers that have posted reviews over the Nikon D40 have recommended this product, offering between 4 and 5 stars per review. The lens defect has not hit all of the units, and the customers that stated the original complaint are willing to acknowledge this point.
